LAVRION MAIN PORT

Lavrion port is a great starting point for a sailing trip in the Cyclades, as it takes only 2 hours to reach Kea, the closest Cycladic island. Lavrion is located around 60 km from the Athens City Center and 35 km from the Athens International Airport.

GPS N: 37°71'88", E: 24°.09'19"

The port of Lavrion is  embraced with the coastal town of Lavrio. It is a modern port serving passenger ferries, freight ferries, charter and private yachts, sailing boats, fishing boats and cruise ships. Lavrio is a great starting point for a sailing trip in the Cyclades islands, only 14 nm from Kea island. Starting and ending from Lavrion can be combined with a visit to the ancient temple of Poseidon at cape Sounion. In case of fierce northern winds in the Cyclades, the location of Lavrion allows also easy access to the Saronic Gulf, providing a wonderful alternative for calmer sailing holidays.
