Οι αγώνες ιστιοπλοΐας συνδυάζουν τις απαιτητικές συνθήκες πλεύσης και ανταγωνισμού με τα πανέμορφα τοπία των ελληνικών νησιών. Αγώνες πραγματοποιούνται στις περισσότερες περιοχές στην Ελλάδα. Οι περισσότεροι είναι μονοήμεροι αγώνες, αλλά υπάρχουν και μεγαλύτερες διοργανώσεις. Το πρόγραμμα στους πολυήμερους αγώνες περιλαμβάνει έναν πολύωρο αγώνα, και την επόμενη ημέρα ξεκούραση στο νησί προορισμού, δίνοντας την ευκαιρία στα πληρώματα να ξεκουραστούν αλλά και να απολαύσουν την φιλοξενία, σε εκδηλώσεις που διοργανώνουν οι τοπικοί παράγοντες. Γενικά, υπάρχει ένα εορταστικό κλίμα που κάθε ιστιοπλόος θα ήθελε να ζήσει.

Συμμετοχή σε αγώνες

Μπορείτε να λάβετε μέρος σε αγώνες ιστιοπλοΐας, σε ένα από τα σκάφη της Sail in Greek Waters, ανεξαρτήτως το επίπεδο και την εμπειρία σας. Τα σκάφη ενοικιάζονται συνήθως με κυβερνήτη και συγκυβερνήτη, αλλά η συμμετοχή όλου του πληρώματος είναι απαραίτητη για την επιτυχία!

Aegean Rally

Race duration: 10 days ( Annually in second part of July)
Area: Central Aegean Sea
Total distance: approximately 400 nautical miles in 3 legs

The Aegean Rally is the most famous sailing race in Greece. It is organized successfully since 1963 and concentrates the attention of sailors from Europe and beyond. Because of the distances and rough sailing conditions in that time of the year, it is certainly a difficult race. The offshore races take place every second day; in the free day there are local events and inshore races organized in each island of visit.

Cyclades Regatta

Race duration: 1 week in early July
Area: Cyclades islands
Total distance: 150-200 nautical miles

This is the one of the most famous and popular sailing races in Greece, with international participation. The conditions vary, depending on the wind speed or the time of the year. The beginning of July is considered relatively early for the strong north winds (meltemi).The islands visited are magnificent while the race schedule covers a leg every second day, combining sailing challenges and memorable events in each island.

Race duration: 5-7 days
Total distance: Variable every year
Area: Also variable every year, in the regions of Northern Sporades, Dodecanese and Cyclades islands

Aegean Regatta is a challenging sailing race, since it has two long legs,while the schedule includes a race every day. The winds are usually strong at this time of the year, with the north winds prevailing. However, the race is mostly downwind, which adds to pleasure without a lot of hard time.

More races are organized every year in all sailing regions in Greece: Ionian Sea, Dodecanese, Saronic Gulf - near Athens, etc. Live the experience of a sailing race, chartering a yacht from our dedicated fleet. Yachts are chartered either with experienced crew or bareboat, so you would have the master the yacht!
