The island of the Winds

Mykonos is considered 'The Island of the Winds' since the ancient time, because of the fierce winds that blow in the specific spot, during summer months. Despite the difficult conditions, Mykonos is a highly popular and cosmopolitan island, hence it attracts a high number of visitors. Be cautious when chartering from Mykonos for a sailing trip in the Cyclades, as the sailing conditions can be rough during July, August and September.
